If He Had Not Come is a children's book but I believe that the message is for adults too. I love the message in this story. The message of this story in incredible just to think what if He had never come. In fact, once you read this I believe reading it at the holidays will become a tradition at your house just as it has become at our home/5(39).

If He Had Not Come is a great little book. At only 36 pages long, this book explores a world in which Christ hasnt redeemed. How would our world be without His influence and redemption. In this book, a young boy wakes up on Christmas morning to discover that Christ had not come.

No Christmas, no goodwill, and no churches/5. (22) If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sinIn this and the following verses (John ) our Lord shows the sinfulness of the world's hatred, because it was in the face of His revelation to them by both word and work ().Apart from this revelation, their sin would have belonged to the times of ignorance, which God overlooked (Acts ).

If Jesus had not come, we would not know God’s complete faithfulness. We would not know the fulfillment of every last promise, including the very first one he made: that an offspring of Eve would crush the head of our great adversary, Satan (Genesis ).

If Jesus had not come, we would not know the fullness of God’s love. Question: "Why had the believers in Samaria not received the Holy Spirit (Acts 8)?" Answer: In Acts we read of a group of Samaritans who “believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, [and] they were baptized, both men and women.” However, when we get to Actswe find that “the Holy Spirit had not yet.

If I had known that he was honest, I would have gladly loaned him the money. Unless you are very sure of someone’s intention, you cannot lend him your hard-earned money. For the want of money he ruined a relationship.

If I really thought that he was so desperately in need of money, I would do the best for him. Speaking of Christ's coming, Abinadi used past tense verbs,1 and then explained his way of speaking by adding that he was “speaking of things to come as though they had already come” (Mosiahemphasis added).Using past tense verbs or participles to speak of something that If He Had Not Come book yet happen in the future may seem unusual to modern readers, but this is.

The Nephite prophet Abinadi holds a singular place in the Book of Mormon. He is the first Nephite of whom we have record to die as a martyr.

His doctrinal teachings are some of the most valuable in the Book of Mormon, If He Had Not Come book the purpose of the law of Moses, identifying who the Redeemer would be, and declaring some facts about the Resurrection not previously mentioned in the.

The hour of the full revelation of his Messianic claims had not come, nor did it come in the temple, or by the lake, or in the feast day; not till the awful moment of rejection, when death was hovering over him, and the blow was about to fall, did he say, "The hour has come" (see John ; John ) - the hour of his greatest glory.

If He Had Not Come is a beautifully illustrated Christmas book about the birth of Christ and its importance, giving us a glimpse into what the world would be like if Jesus Christ had not been born.

David Nicholson discovered the story If He Had Not Come, originally written by Nan F. Weeks, a teacher and children’s story writer.

He meant that, though he would perform what his mother had suggested, it would not have the results that she anticipated, for the hour had not yet come, the time had not struck. Repeatedly he said to the disciples, My hour is not yet, (John).

After John had written these letters he had a vision of the throne of God in heaven. He saw a door open in heaven and he heard the voice like a trumpet calling him to come up and enter the door.

When he had entered he saw the great throne of God and around this throne sat twenty-four old men dressed in white and wearing crowns of gold. My hour has not yet come.” John “So they were seeking to seize Him; and no man laid his hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.” John “These words He spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; and no.

Carefully searching along the way, Christian retraces his steps to the arbor, where, as he recalls, he had been reading the Roll when he allowed himself to doze off in "sinful sleep." Not finding his treasure immediately, he sits down and weeps, considering himself utterly undone by his carelessness in losing "his pass into the Celestial City.".

Moishe was not the same. The joy in his eyes was gone. He no longer sang. He no longer mentioned either God or Kabbalah. He spoke only of what he had seen. But people not only refused to believe his tales, they refused to listen.
